Canadian rocker JJ Wilde has been on a touring whirlwind over the last several months and November 12th saw her first headlining show at NYC’s Mercury Lounge. Her debut record “Wilde Eyes and Steady Hands”, just released back in June, is raw and full of emotion, powered by Wilde’s gritty vocals. Her fans were evident at Mercury Lounge, with some coming down from Canada for the show.

Even though the band had a long drive to Chicago to play on the 14th, JJ Wilde squeezed in a quick session at Paste Studio the next afternoon. The much toned down versions of her songs were a nice contrast to the energy and sounds from the previous evening. Wilde will be touring with Jimmy Eat World next April/May throughout Canada. In the meantime, take a listen to her EP!
