Richard Marx brings back memories at Paste Studio – Oct 18, 2019

1I6A6130-1If you were dating in the late 80s, Richard Marx were a staple of your mixtape.  Nowadays, a mixtape means a completely different thing than it did back then but Marx plans to be a part of it as he will be releasing his first studio album in six years with “Limitless” on February 7th.  Even though he was sick, he pushed through and stopped by for a session at Paste Studio.

The upcoming album includes Richard Marx’s first single off the record “Another One Down” which he co-wrote with his son Lucas.  He also collaborates with his wife, former MTV VJ Daisy Fuentes and Matt Scannell from the band Vertical Horizon.  Marx kicked off the Paste session with an oldie “Endless Summer Nights” and then blessed us by playing a song which he has only played once or twice live, “This One”.

Currently touring with Rick Springfield, Marx played the same evening of the Paste Studio session at St George in Staten Island.  He’ll be back in the area at the NYCB Theatre in Westbury, NY on December 12th.  If you haven’t seen him live, “You Should Have Known Better”.
