If you thought that going to watch a band play in a shoe store would be a pretty chill event, you’d be wrong. Sunflower Bean concerts are typically wild events with lead vocalist/bassist Julia Cumming exhorting the crowd into a frenzy. It turns out this Thursday evening was no different.
The show started off innocently enough with fans nodding and bouncing to “King of the Dudes” and “Twenty Two”. By the time we got to the back end of the set, the mosh pit had started in earnest with fans almost getting pushed into the band since there was no barricade. Towards the end, one fan was sitting on another’s shoulders and another was crowdsurfing. While the set was all too brief, this was definitely a show to remember!
