It was a regular work day from my home office when I found out that Sick Puppies had space for one more person in their live webcast. Rushing down to the EMI office down in the Flatiron district, I found myself waiting with about 9 others. We were ushered into a smallish room with 3 stools and a camera setup. We were asked to sit in front of the stools with the cameras behind us. Shim, Emma, and Mark came in and bantered for a bit as the webcast kicked off. They played acoustic versions of several songs (tbh, I don’t remember the full setlist) before we had the chance to chat with the band and take some pictures. The band, of course, were so friendly and nice. To this day, it was the most personal and VIP experience I have encountered.
