It was so good to see Grouplove on Thursday after an almost two year hiatus. After last seeing them perform at OzyFest in 2018 and hearing about Hannah Hooper’s brain surgery, I wasn’t sure if I would ever see one of the most fun bands again! YouTube was nice enough to bring them to a small group of fans at their Chelsea Market space for a Q&A and brief performance.
After completing disconnecting from the internet and spending time with legendary producer Dave Sitek at his ranch, Grouplove’s band members found the experience life and mind altering with the result their upcoming record “Healer”. With Benjamin Homola set as their permanent drummer, Grouplove also announced that two new members would be joining them on tour.
