Young artists showcased by MTV Push tend to be the next big thing. Just take a look a couple of 2019’s class: Lizzo, Billie Eilish, and H.E.R. If that’s any indication, Lolo Zouaï (aka Laureen Rebeha Zouaï) and Isaac Dunbar are in good company and you can expect their careers to skyrocket and hit our collective consciousness if you’re not already familiar. Both artists hit Chelsea Music Hall a couple of days before Thanksgiving.
While Isaac Dunbar may be just sixteen, he’s very comfortable on the stage. One of his first singles “Freshman Year” shows you exactly how young he is but he speaks honestly and directly to his equally young fans. Whatever he’s doing, he’s doing it right.

While Lolo Zouaï’s debut record “High Highs to Low Lows” was only released earlier this year, she has been writing music, including helping with H.E.R.’s Grammy winning record, ever since she moved to the US from her native Algeria. Her initial foray didn’t pan out so she started singing (in both English and French) and producing her own music on Soundcloud. She had already become a bit of a fashion icon before her first hit, with a look that started to be copied by her many fans. Now, with a hit album and touring non-stop for the last 18 months, she provided her US fans with an early Thanksgiving present.
