Back to the 80s with English Beat and Squeeze! I never saw Squeeze back in their heyday but I got to enjoy the music of my youth this night. Dave Wakeling and English Beat opened the show and got the crowd going quickly with their upbeat ska set. While Ranking Roger was doing his thing with the Beat in HK, Dave’s English Beat does a great job with their backlog.
Squeeze came on afterwards and sounded just as strong as they did back in the day. Glenn Tilbrook can still sing and play the hell out that guitar. However, Chris Difford did look a bit bored on-stage. Glenn came out afterwards to sign autographs and take pictures with fans while Chris quickly jumped in a cab.
