Acclaimed singer/songwriter Tori Amos has never been shy about incorporating her thoughts and beliefs into her music and her latest record In Times of Dragons (her 18th studio album released on May 1st) is no exception. In fact, in these turbulent times where people have followed the example of the President and feel free to speak their thoughts out loud, no matter how abhorrent those thoughts, Amos has no time to beat around the bush and is much more direct with her messages as well. On the record, she builds a fantasy world where her character breaks away from her rich and powerful husband to embark on a journey, speaking to political and societal issues. All of this wrapped around the piano driven music and her emotive voice.
After a successful UK/EU tour in April/May, she has embarked on an extensive US tour and will be stopping at ArtPark in Lewiston, NY for a show on August 4th (Tickets)
