It’s been three years since Swedish pop star Tove Lo (aka Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson) graced Toronto with her presence. Still in the early days of the tour supporting her latest studio album “Dirt Femme”, released in October 2022, she arrived at History to a sold out venue.
Walking around the before Tove Lo came on, it was fun to see people dressed up in amazing outfits! It definitely had a nightclub feel. Tove Lo entered the stage decked out in a gold and skin colored corset with fake breasts and nipples, causing a frenzy in the crowd. She kicked things off with “Pineapple Slice” and “Attention Whore” from the new record and the party truly started. Having already released six songs off “Dirt Femme”, her fans were already very familiar with the songs and could be found singing and dancing to every track! The biggest reactions from the audience probably came with “Disco Tits” from 2017’s “Blue Lips” and “Habits”, the song she said changed her life! She did have two outfit changes; the first was a mostly see through body suit with gaps in all the right (wrong?) places. the second change was for the encore when she came out in a metallic body suit. If you want to see a dance pop start on her way up and enjoy a party along the way, you’ll need to catch her at one of her stops on this tour!
