It’s been quite a year for Just One More Concert. It was the first full year of live music post-pandemic although much has changed since 2019 (the last full year). Bands are still having to cancel shows/tours because someone in the band or crew tests positive for Covid, more acts have opted for having their own tour photographer rather than providing media access, and the biggest thing for me was my move from New York City to the Buffalo area. There’s nowhere like NYC for live music, where every act passes through and where music PR is centered (ie. private events/shows). Granted some great acts have come through Buffalo and travel to Toronto, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland are not too onerous, it does take much more time and expense to cover the many acts that stop within a three hour radius. That makes things even worse when you travel for a show and it gets cancelled. Now many may consider fifty five shows in a calendar year to be quite a lot but it’s half the number I used to cover in NYC; and I’ve probably put 20,000 miles on my car doing it! Nevertheless, it’s been great to be back seeing and covering live music and, without further ado, here’s my top 10 in chronological order and we’ll see you in 2023!!
