Music fans in Buffalo were treated this past weekend to the annual Cobblestone Live music festival, located on the old cobblestone streets of Illinois and Columbia in Buffalo. Sponsored by Twenty6 Productions, Buffalo Iron Works, and Lockhouse Distillery, the two day event featured local bands and national acts like Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, who anchored Friday night’s sets, and misterwives, who closed out the live music for the weekend.

Besides live music on two outdoor stages, there was also an indoor stage in Buffalo Ironworks. Plus with many food options, vendors, arts, and even some circus entertainers, there was plenty to do, eat and drink for everyone.

Gates opened on Friday at 6pm to throngs of people. Lines were non-stop for several hours! Here were the day 1 acts:

Pigeons Playing Ping Ping wrapped up the evening for me and they did it in style, jamming through the night. It’s been too long since I saw them last!

Day 2 started 1pm and started slowly. Fans may have still been tired from partying the night before!

I’ve photographed misterwives several times in NYC and they have graduated to larger and larger stages. Never mind that they are no longer signed to Fueled by Ramen, their music continues to resonate, based on the reaction of the festival goers, they continue to generate new fans!
