Noga Erez is Israel’s biggest pop star…at least according to Erez’s brother Gon. But who can argue with him. Having won Best Newcomer of the Year in 2018 (VIA), her sophomore album “Kids” critically acclaimed, and touring along the likes of Tove Lo and Florence and the Machine, her bona fixes are solid and indicate she could be the next big thing.
Well known for her energetic live shows, Erez’s brother, who happens to be the Chief Program Office at JCC Buffalo, was instrumental in bringing her to the very first Creekside Concert. After playing Bonnaroo just eleven days prior, playing on a stage in a large field was probably familiar, except instead of a massive crowd of young concert-goers, it was a much smaller group of mostly families. Definitely not your typical Noga Erez audience. Yes, a few younger fans came out but it felt like a debut event. Nevertheless, Erez brought her swag and attitude to the show and gave us an incredible show. She plays a number of festivals and tour stops in Europe before returning to the US.
