With their debut self-titled album released just two weeks ago, Drax Project stopped by YouTube Space NY for a Q&A and private performance for around seventy five fans. Splitting time between their native New Zealand and recording in Los Angeles, the band has been lucky enough to almost always stay in warm climates.
Shaan Singh (lead vocals and saxophone), Matt Beachen (drums), Sam Thomson (bass and keys), and Ben O’Leary (guitar) provided witty answers to everything from favorite musician to tour with (Ed Sheeran) to best New Zealand candy (Whittaker’s chocolate) to weirdest American affects (saying “Bless You” every time someone sneezes!!!). They are in the initial stages of planning a worldwide tour in 2020 so keep your eyes peeled!
This quickly rising band then played several songs from their new record before coming off the stage to hang around with their fans.
